Squid Jigging and Golf Event Between Agencies of the Ministry of Finance Malaysia 2024

On 22-23 November 2024, the Ministry of Finance Malaysia, through the Majlis Kebajikan dan Sukan Anggota Kakitangan Kementerian (MKSAKK), in collaboration with the Sports and Welfare Club of the Langkawi Development Authority (LADA), will organize two major events among ministry agencies: a squid jigging event and a golf tournament. This event aims to strengthen bonds, foster sportsmanship, and enhance cooperation among officers and staff of the ministry and participating agencies.

Squid Jigging Event in Langkawi Waters

The squid jigging event will be held in the waters of Langkawi, a popular destination among fishing enthusiasts and tourists for squid jigging. With its beautiful surroundings and rich marine life, Langkawi waters serve as an ideal spot for this traditional fishing activity.

The event will take place at night, as this is when squid are most active in search of food. Participants will be equipped with specialized jigging tools and guided by experienced professionals who are well-versed in jigging techniques. Winners will be determined based on the number and weight of squid successfully caught by each team.

Golf Tournament at The Els Club Langkawi

In addition to the squid jigging event, a golf tournament will be organized at The Els Club Langkawi, a prestigious golf club known for its world-class course and scenic views overlooking the Andaman Sea. The tournament is designed to provide participants an opportunity to showcase their skills and strategies in a friendly, relaxed setting.

Participants will compete in a tournament format tailored for this event, with awards and prizes prepared for the winners. The fully equipped golf course and high-quality facilities at The Els Club Langkawi are expected to offer an enjoyable experience for all involved.
