What is Junior Cycling Malaysia (JCM)?
The island of Langkawi roared with excitement as over 350 young cyclists from across the country descended on the island for the Junior Cycling Malaysia (JCM) Langkawi Series 2025, held from 9 to 12 July. The multi-stage competition featured road races, time trials, and the highly anticipated Kuah Loop, highlighting Langkawi’s role in grooming Malaysia’s next generation of cycling champions.
Organized by the Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF) in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) and the National Sports Council (MSN), the event was hosted at the Kompleks Sukan Langkawi with support from LADA and local cycling clubs.
Junior Cycling Malaysia (JCM) is a national youth cycling development program organized by the Malaysian National Cycling Federation (MNCF), supported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports (KBS) and National Sports Council (MSN).
Its goal is to identify, develop, and showcase young cycling talent across Malaysia—from beginner pushbike riders to elite Under-22 athletes. JCM includes multiple road and track series held throughout the year in different states.
