About LIFF 2025

The Langkawi International Film Festival (LIFF) 2025 is a global cinematic celebration set against the breathtaking landscapes of Langkawi — where cinema meets nature, culture, and world heritage. As an emerging international film platform, LIFF aims to:

  • Showcase international and ASEAN cinema

  • Promote Langkawi as a film-friendly destination

  • Inspire filmmakers to tell stories rooted in nature, geoparks, culture, heritage, and humanity

  • Encourage film tourism (Cine-Tourism) and position Langkawi as Malaysia’s Island of Arts & Creative Expression
