PETRONAS Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) 2025
The 29th edition of the PETRONAS Le Tour de Langkawi (LTdL) will take place from September 28 to October 5, 2025. Spanning 1,257.8 kilometers, the race will cover all 12 states of Malaysia, bringing together top international and local teams for one of Asia’s most prestigious cycling events.
Since its inception in 1996, LTdL has grown into a world-class race, showcasing Malaysia’s diverse landscapes while promoting cycling as a key sporting event in the region.
Stage 1: Langkawi Round Island

Start/Finish Location: Kuah, Langkawi
The opening stage of LTdL 2025 will take place on Langkawi Island, known for its stunning landscapes and rich natural heritage. Covering 96.5 km, the race will start and finish in Kuah, featuring a mix of flat roads and rolling terrain. This stage is expected to favor sprinters and breakaway specialists, offering a thrilling start to the competition.

Langkawi Sky Bridge – A stunning curved pedestrian bridge offering breathtaking views of the island.

Kilim Karst Geoforest Park – A UNESCO-listed site known for its mangrove forests, limestone formations, and diverse wildlife.
With its combination of scenic beauty and technical segments, Stage 1 will set the tone for an exciting LTdL 2025.
Route and Stages
While the official stage details are yet to be fully disclosed, the race traditionally features a mix of flat, hilly, and mountainous terrains, offering challenges for both sprinters and climbers. The iconic Genting Highlands climb is often a pivotal stage in the race.
